written and produced by leif knowles.
taking on where leif has left with his thinner debut release in october 2008, the "fundamental movement" ep is the continuation of his pumpy whacking minimal techhouse style, however this time much more suited for the needs of the digital djs. while the "benrhos dubs ep" was more of a laidback nature, this time leif starts kicking things off with the booty jacking "ocd wannabe", a shuffling groover for the skillful hip swingers on the floor. next on we have "political correctness gone mad", which is more powerful grinding in the bass area albeit gently accentuated with mildly whipping groovy elements. the third tune "warm shoulder" reduces the pace and coats the listener in warm glassy pads accompanied by a jazzy bassline. last but not least and to complete the trimsound excursion on thinner we have tom ellis, who applies his mixing skills on "political correctness gone mad" to arrange it inside a snare'ish offbeat framework with lots of subtle trippy synth modulations adding spice to his interpretation.
