Sub is from the town Surgut which is situated in the middle of Russia and unofficially called 'oil capital of Russia'. It's a cold Siberian city, a place where native Khantia-Mansia ethnic group used to live, standing by the river Ob and surrounded by taiga. The climate is unfriendly there, and you can easily meet wolves in suburbs at night. Sub makes music since 2001, his first experience was drum'n'bass, and you can hear that by the fat basslines in his current production - excellent, massive but gentle rhythmic base is 50% of his success.
