Born and raised in Boston, Ma. Jason Donnaruma (aka MoNkteC) discovered electronic music in his early twenties. After strictly DJing for a few years, he took the next logical step by beginning to produce his own music . Drawing from artists like Dubfire, Terry Lee Brown Jr., Steve Lawler. Jason focused his attention on percussive programming, dubby basslines, and dark atmospheres. By expressing a tireless work ethic in the studio, Jason was soon noticed for his efforts by A New York label, Twisted Black. Where He got remix duty for Artist's Juce, and Spirit Mindster.Not long after this, he remixed music for Australian based label Swordtail Records. The EP release titled "Northern Lights," was well received with many positive reviews from a plethora of international artists.
