Sound & Motion presents its first compilation ever, celebrating "a lo grande" with some known artists from the house, along with new ones joining. Armida from El Salvador releases for the fist time some original tracks and start things off. The first track is a colaboration with the misterious artist RealiTVersion, who joins the netlabel with the help of Armida and together they release "Cold Sea", a warm yet groovy Minimal Techno track. Newcomer Julian Dep from Argentina gives us his "Synth", a lovely "a la progresiva" track with some deep tunes and chords. Salvadorean artist Camy brings us some Minimal with "Alucinaba", which reminds us of those times when Minimal used to be so elegant and trendy.
KaTaa haves an agressive reversion of "Farblos" by YetTken. Along with the "Reform" and "Rebuild" versions previously released, Farblos.2 had a third unreleased version, used only in podcasts and gigs. Now "Farblos.2 (WTF)" is available for all of you, showing that one track can be reinterpreted in many different ways.
Armida comes back with his "Yes, A War Is Coming", showing us his evolution as a House artist and his capacity to go beyond by blending saw bass with some trance strings and a Progressive House structure that pushes the boundaries of the genre. Argentinean B.I.B. goes on, this time by leaving behind his darkness and experimenting with some Proggy melodies, yet keeping his characteristic brand of Techno-ish sound.
Another salvadorean artist joins the netlabel; WorkLeft now makes us dance with "McLovin'". What kind of feels generic at first is actually a tricky track: the simple 4/4 tempo becomes 3/4 tempo, later 5/4 and play tricks with your mind. You won't notice until you pay attention. Next, YetTken releases one of his best tracks ever. "Something" has been in Sound & Motion's DJ tracklist since early 2010, and have been featured in podcasts and gigs. Now, this track will be available for download.
The next track is something special. Drugstore gives us his exclusive "Win Or Go Home", wich is a great pumpin' Techno track with the Drugstore brand all over it. Simply, no other thing to say. You'll have to check it out.
Finally, Playground let RealiTVersion to remix one of the tracks from her forthcoming EP " & Everything". "Spleen" was the chosen one. Originally being a chilled, warm and lovely tipical Playground track, RealiTVersion makes a whole new interpretation of it. With a dark, experimental feeling, yet aimed to make you dance, RealiTVersion really gives us a new way to listen to Playground and the best way to end this compilation.
Let's hope you enjoy this long play. More releases are coming, this won't be the end. Enjoy both Sound & Motion.
