Dear Friends and Listeners,
It is said that mountains are generally less preferable for human habitation than lowlands, because of harsh weather and little level ground suitable for agriculture. The decreasing atmospheric pressure with increasing elevation means that less oxygen is available for breathing, and there is less protection against solar radiation.
It is also said that mountains are thought-provoking, motivating and mesmerizing, and that we, humans, are being attracted by them like a luring light of salvation.
