After his superb triad of archived Axs works, Alexandre Gouard (better known as Axs and now Zwei Kreise) returns to RP with a fantastically varied album of technoid forms that runs the gamut from dub techno to house, and almost everything in between. ZK XIII contains ten tracks that express funky shapes of rhythm and bass, in a way that only Zwei Kreise can, and exhibit a much wider range of sound design than the Secrets material. Created to have an intentionally multifaceted narrative, the album effortlessly moves between genres with a solidarity and confidence that only occurs when a musician has been at it for a very long time.
